We know how excited you are to witness the special union of your friend or family, and this might be your first ever live-streamed wedding to attend. So we prepared these FAQs to help you enjoy the remote wedding experience.
It is very simple! Just click open or type in the URL the couple shared with you on a computer, a phone or a tablet. That's all you need š. No app download or login required.
Alternatively, you can use our Find a Virtual Event tool by typing in only the event ID (e.g. "meetthejames").
The video will automatically play once the live stream starts. No app download or login required. If you prefer to watch on a TV, you can follow these instructions to set up casting to TV.
Weddings usually run late because of the complexity of the onsite logistics. While you wait, you can chat with other guests in the live chat window. The video will automatically appear when the live stream starts so you donāt need to refresh it.
Alternatively, you can use the āRSVPā button to receive a text notification when the wedding begins. When a live stream is more than half an hour delayed, we encourage you to reach out to the wedding location to get an update since Lovecast provides only the software and is not involved in onsite logistics.
Live-streaming relies heavily on good internet. The wedding location can experience internet instability from time to time (especially when the bride/groom walks down the aisle š and all the onsite guests took out their phones which crowds the Internet). In case this happens, our app will automatically detect the issue and display the status on the streaming website.
In the meantime, our app will keep trying to reconnect until the Internet connection restores and the live-stream resumes. Our app will also continue to record the video on their streaming device (i.e., their mobile phone) even while disconnected from the internet. The couple will have the option to upload this local recording at a later time.
In most cases, the internet will recover quickly, and the stream will automatically resume. However, there are rare cases where the stream may never resume. An example situation is when the streaming device (mobile phone) runs out of LTE data or overheat in the sun.
In these uncommon cases, we encourage you to reach out to the wedding location to alert them about the issue.
You donāt need to stay on the event website while you wait. Simply use the āGET NOTIFIEDā button there to receive a text notification when the live stream resumes.
Lovecast always stream at the highest quality allowed by the Internet condition. So when the Internet good (>3Mbps) at the wedding site, the stream will be in 1080P quality. If the Internet is slow or has many disconnections, we had to drop the quality to 540P or lower for the stream to not break.
We understand how frustrating it is not to be able to hear. To possibly fix the issue, you can first check your website player. Due to web browser autoplay policies, your video might be muted by default. You can unmute the video by clicking on the video player or drag up the volume slider on the player. Additionally, you can check your phone, computer, or TV to make sure their volume is sufficient.
In cases where environmental sounds are drowning out the coupleās or the officiantās voices, you can notify the stream director (usually the coupleās friend or family member) by sending messages in the live chat. Please note that the stream director may not be checking their chat messages all the time or may not be able to relocate the streaming device during a ceremony.
Unfortunately, we canāt.
Lovecast only offers the software platform for couples to live stream their wedding. Although we provide guidance and tools to help the couple perform a successful live stream, we are not involved in wedding onsite logistics, which means we have no control over the issues such as internet condition, camera angle, or sound quality.
However, we offer a way you can communicate with the stream director (i.e., the person that the couple designated to perform the live stream, usually an onsite guest or a wedding vendor) through the live chat to alert them about any severe issues.
